Meet Dr. Shearer

Dr. Barbara Shearer believes that dentistry is an exacting profession that requires knowledge, skill, and patience. Patients present with unique needs and she strives to provide the best care possible. She also feels her most important responsibility is to listen to her patient’s concerns.
She graduated from the University of Toronto Dental School in 1989. Since that time, her continuing education has focused primarily on strengthening her skills in implantology, Invisalign, cosmetic dental care, and other areas of dentistry. Dr. Shearer finds continuing education renews her love and passion for her profession.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed providing quality dental care but the fun in my day comes from the personal interactions with my patients. My patients are the joy of my job.”
She has been a fixture in the O’Connor area of East York for more than 25 years and loves the small-town feel of the neighbourhood. Dr. Shearer looks forward to helping you achieve good dental health and a beautiful smile.
