What is an iTero Scanner?
The iTero scanner is a small wand that your dentist will gently move around your mouth to capture highly detailed, 3D images of your teeth and gums.
Unlike traditional (and often messy) impressions, iTero impressions can be completed quickly and comfortably with the wave of a wand. The images can be produced within moments, allowing your dentist to get started on your orthodontic journey with minimal delays.
How iTero Creates Digital Impressions of Your Mouth
Using the intraoral scanning wand, we will take a 3D scan of your entire mouth. This image will be used to plan treatment and show you the current positioning of your teeth.
We then use iTero's Smile Simulator to show you a complete 3D rendering of what your smile could look like at the end of treatment. These digital impressions will also be used to create your custom-fitted Invisalign clear aligners.
